Gillian Revie

Gillian Revie was born in Northern Ireland and trained at The Royal Ballet School from the age of eleven. After 7 years of training and a rewarding 23 year career with the Royal Ballet Company dancing a vast repertoire of soloist and principle roles, Gillian returned to the Royal Ballet School to take part in the Professional Teacher Training Program with Gailene Stock. Immediately after receiving her Diploma Gillian was offered a position tutoring the graduate students at English National Ballet School under the guidance of Cynthia Harvey and Jane Hackett.

After relocating to Sydney with her husband and daughter in 2010, Gillian established her business to provide dedicated ballet students with intensive one to one mentoring for a better understanding of classical ballet technique. It was at this point in her teaching that she truly realised the extent of her knowledge, an inherent understanding derived from 30 years of learning within one of the most prestigious institutions in the world.

Six years of teaching ballet freelance in Sydney convinced Gillian that there was a demand for a school that delivered an holistic approach to training. Physical and mental wellbeing, positivity, communication and equality being the key words. It became Gillian’s mission to create a centre of excellence where talented ballet students could build an educated and inspired understanding in their abilities and a confidence in finding their personal outcome regardless of trend, competition or expectation. Daily and with pride, Gillian welcomes happy, eager students who use every moment of the carefully crafted program to build strength, confidence and understanding of the art form that they are so passionate about.
